Name: Nadia Geraldine Seiyuu (optional): Kobayashi Yuu Age: 16 B-day: ? Parents: Edge Geraldine Rydia of Mist Physical Stats Height: 5'1 Weight: 97lbs Eyes: Green Hair: Light green Special: Personality: Nadia's personality is bright, outgoing and friendly, though she does show a touch of ego when dealing with everyday life. She is the type that embodies the phrase, 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going', finding ways out of trouble, but has a problem containing the constant relating to her accomplishments if/when they are actually successful. Being born in a time of reconstruction of her kingdom, she is the type who takes each day as it comes, cherishing the fact that she and her closest friends and family are alive to see another day. She is not one to shy away from strangers, usually relying on her gut instinct if one should be trusted or not. This may get her into trouble, though again, she is always prepared with a contingency plan to any event in everyday life. Background: Born during a time of rebuilding of the Kingdom of Eblana after the Crystal War. The monsters in the area were exterminated, then the hard work of repairing the castle and supporting the people has come for the new king, Edge and the new queen, Rydia. The two had gotten together after a tumulous courtship capped off with a grand wedding ceremony at Eblana just as the repairs to the kingdom were finishing up a good 5 years after the war had ended and Zeromus was sealed away. Another two years later, the couple was blessed with a child who would be named Nadia. Her childhood was full of harship as even with aid from the allies of Eblana, prospriety was not something Nadia grew up with. She lived with the people of Eblana, seeming to melt in with the populace than standing out as the first Princess of her kingdom. This taught her some lessons that most royalty never experience in their lives, working on their own, without any luxuries to make their livies easier than the people who strive to make a living each day. Edge's method of putting the people first rather than himself has rubbed off quite a bit on Nadia, along with the generosity Rydia has shown to the displaced individuals who are returning to Eblana to start anew in the upstart kingdom, starting from scratch with only the longtime traditions and beliefs to hold them up. The heroes of the Crystal War continued to keep in touch and on occasion, Nadia was sent to Baron in order to show her the world outside of Eblana, along with formal schooling in town and Baron castle itself. She became good friends with Cody and Lachesis Harvey, and had a good friendly rivalry with Elliot Highwind as the kids were growing up, even though Elliot was five years older than her. 20 years after the Crystal War everything appeared peaceful in the world until reports of wild monsters started coming into the leaders of the respective kingdoms. Some only thought of it as a mere nusicance, but the heroes had a feeling it would be a prelude to what was to come. Nadia was only 14 at the time she and her friends in Baron were out on a trip to the Village of Mist, normally the cave leading through to the village had its inherent dangers, but any wild monsters were exterminated by monster hunters who were hired to clear the path to Mist and Kaipo for easier travel towards Damcyan. On the way back from Mist, the kids knew something was wrong. The ocassional monster was normal, but there were packs of them on the prowl for any easy prey and the children looked like dinner to them. The kids were able to make their way back to Baron with only minor scrapes and bruises, but this worried King Cecil that the monsters were out in numbers again. A council of leaders was called, in attendance by the major kingdoms of the world. As the heroes of the Cyrstal war debated on the best course of action, they were all surprised when the kids burst into the room and volunteered that they would go to find out what is happening to the world. It first they were uneasy about sending such young ones out to the monster filed wilderness, but knowing they had their duties to their respective home kingdoms, they were chosen to be part of an expedition to explore parts of the world to look for clues on what is happening to the world. It was around this time that the Academy contacted Nadia and her family regarding enrollment in the academy. Nadia was pretty much set on going with her freinds from Baron, but her parents, as protective as they can be wished her to be safe, so agreed to have her enroll in the academy for a few years. A deal which upset Nadia at first, but knew she would either come back stronger to help or if her parents get her way, everything will be calm again by the time she graduates and returns from the academy. Appearance: Short of stature and slight of build; at first glance, she appears to be your average teenage girl, but an aura of confidence and professionalism surounds her at times. Her long hair reaching to her mid back is usually kept tied back at the nape of her neck with the rest flowing freely. She wears a midnight blue Kunoichi shinobishouzoku consisting of a headband, upper gi, baggy shorts, tekko, and kyahan. Her katana is slung on her back while the tanto is held in her belt at the small of her back. She also has a traditional kimono with a cherry blossom design which she wears when not active in her adventuring. Spells, Magic, or Abilites: Swordsmanship: Ability to make use of her tanto in a dual wield. An emergency measure as most of her abilities lay within her magic skills. Ninjutsu: Most of her ninjutsu are based on deciept and trickery rather than attacking directly with the elements as most spells are. Utsusemi - Ability to make it look like she has taken a mortal wound, but only to escape with a nearby inanimate object taking her place in the attack. Kagegakure - Ability to hide in shadows. Appears almost invisible in the darkest of shadows at night. Kageidou - Ability to move between shadows. Can appear to 'teleport' between short distances, moving from shadow to shadow. Kagenui - Ability to stop an object's movement by holding the object's shadow in place, used in conjunction with a kunai or dagger. Shikigami: Ability to call spirits to assist Nadia from the ofuda she carries. The two types she can use are a human version to make a duplicate of herself, which can act independently of her, has limited intelligence on its own, and can take orders to act like Nadia through telepathy, but requires some concentration. The second form is one of a generic bird, used mostly for reconaissance. Nadia is able to 'see' through the eyes of the shikigami bird. In both forms, if any kind of damage is dealt to the shikigami, or the magic is dispeled, they revert back to the pieces of paper they were made from. They can also be made to self destruct, exploding in a puff of white smoke, enough to obscure two adults completely.
