Personality: Still has a military midnset from her time in the Buenaventura Navy, expecting the most basic of discipline and unit cohesion from others on her ship. When not in training or combat tho, she is friendly and helpful to others, acting like their big sister in support physically and emotionally for her subordinates, also shows the upmost respect for her elders and superiors. Background: As a Naval Officer of Buenaventura, Carina Granviano of Catalonia, one of their prospective young Midshipmen at the age of 20 and one of the first of female officers ever commissioned into the Buenaventura Navy, although this fact was hidden from even the top brass of the Navy as she pretended to be a brash and outspoken male seaman in order to find a life out at sea that she has always dreamed of. With a strong grasp of naval operations and tactics, although putting them to use was sometimes much for her mind to handle, the operation of her ship and personal combat were her strong points, the big picture was usually lost on her and felt more in place acting as a subordinate to those with more flexible minds. She was part of a Buenaventura naval fleet sent to the trade routes to protect traders and Buenaventura assets in the area, working under a renown Captain of the navy, Miguel Del Sol, she believed she would have the experience of a lifetime waging skirmishes with the British and French for control of the new world. What she didn't know, that there was a group of officers that had two things on mind. The knowlege of Carina's true identity, to which they had plasn to remove her from the navy in any way possible before she gained any more rank, to where she would have some amount of power to exhert even if her identity was revealed, and a dislike of the captain of her ship, being a commoner who rose up in the ranks to captain, leaving behind officers of noble upbringing who were now jealous of his success. They had a simple plan to kill both birds. They would first assassinate Captain Del Sol on his ship, then place all the blame on Carina as killing her would be easy, but they also wanted to publically make an example of her that women had no place in the higher echleons of the Navy. The plan almost did work successfully as the collaborators aboard the Buenaventura Ship, Hijos de Conquistdors, assassinated its Captain, but was caught during their attempt to pass the blame to Carina and attempted escape off of the ship. The assassins made it back to the ringleader's ship via rowboat, but the crew of the Sloop of War, Hijos de Conquistadors, was ready very quickly. A firefight ensued, trading cannon shot between the ships. The collaborators were ready to sink the Hijos if the plan failed, but whether it was luck or skill of the crew, the Hijos lived to see another day... The Hijos managed to outrun the rest of the flotilla but they were in a precarious situation out in the middle of the sea on the run from the Buenaventura Navy and unable to turn to the other countries for help. The crew of the Hijos took a vote, knowing they were going to be held guilty for sinking a Navy ship as the flotilla would have reported this by now, some chose to turn themselves in, some chose to run, but Carina had other plans for the Buenaventura navy, which was exacting some revenge on how they treated her and her captain. While most of the crew stayed on the damaged Sloop, Carina and a core of crew loyal to her and the Captain took over a Schooner docked at a nearby port and set out for Pirates' Skerry. She has been quickly gaining reputation with the pirate gangs while her notriety with the naval powers have been increasing, due to her easily identifyable personal crest on her flag, and her actions against the Colonial fleets. Supported by her core of experiences sailors, she has been steadily gaining power in the Carribien, setting her sights on a more powerful Frigate docked at a Buenaventura port preparding for a shakedown cruise.
