Appearance:
Hilda stands a little under six feet tall with an average build.  She has long, wavy, reddish blonde hair reaching her shoulders while her dark blue eyes peer out from under her bangs which rest at her browline.  She generally wears her standard issue Titans military uniform according to protocol, clean, pressed, and enough to be a fashion example for other soldiers.  She occasionally wears the provided trenchcoat as well over her regular uniform.  She usually wears a cloth or leather cap when available for headwear.  Her civilian dress usually consists of a simple blouse and either a long skirt or slacks depending on occasion.


Personality:
Hilda's outward demeanor is one that could be described as stern and uncaring for others, although she does know to differntiate between times for authority, and times for a more personable approach.  She believes that the workplace is for work, and playgrounds are for play.  Neither of the two should be mixed as they bear repercussions if they are.  She tends to lead by example, standing at the head of the pack while expecting those under her to follow suit.  In private, Hilda is a lot more amiable as she does not have to outwardly project any authority and discipline that is expected in a military setting.

Weakness:
Tries to impress others by giving too much effort.  Always afraid of failing, not only herself but also her squadmates.  Not 100% military material, has reservations about going into battle.

Background:
Born on Side 3, 1st Bunch colony to her parents Erich and Cassandra Reinhardt as their second child.  Hilda  also has an older brother four years elder, Joachim.  Her childhood consisted of moving between different colonies within Side 3 as her father's assignments dictated as Erich Reinhardt served in the Zeon Space force as a career officer, rising through the ranks as the years went by.  Hilda was usually homeschooled as her constant moves precluded her from settling down at a permanant school to finish her mandatory education.

Hilda was 15 years old when the One Year War erupted and her father and brother were called up to fight in the War.  Days of worry and anxiety followed Hilda and her family as they recieved little news from her father during the war.  She was one of the unlucky ones who survived the war with only her mother left alive.  They tried to restart their lives in a losing state now known as the Republic of Zeon.

Following family tradition,  Hilda decided to enter the Federation Military take the path of a Mobile Suit pilot.  She attended basic training, followed by intensive mobile suit training, but almost ended up washing out of the course if it wasn't for her leadership ability seen by her superiors during group exercises.  Not wishing to waste any potential, Hilda was transferred to OCS after her basic training had concluded for additional work on her road to an officer.

During her tenure in OCS, Hilda showed potential in squad tactics and small scale leadership, but failed to grasp the intricacies of large scale battles across large lands, or swaths of space.  Hilda reaizes she has room for improvement in these areas and understands the concept of maneuvering army groups, but even on paper and wargames was unable to command much higher than a Platoon.

Graduation came after 6 months at OCS and Hilda was posted at a garrison unit until she was transferred to the Augusta labs for what she was told as 'medical tests' which were in fact a battery of procedures to slowly condition her into one of the experimental enhanced humans under the research conducted at the lab.  She is considered one of the failed experiments, not showing a high aptitude for newtype weapons, though the treatments have melted away her reservations for combat as the scientists implanted the thought into her that once she defeats her enemies, she will be able to see them again...
