Her brown eyes show a look of emptyness at times when she's lost in contemplation, but at other times full of vigor, coming from deep within her. Her usual mode of dress is either her school uniform when necessary, and her casual clothes she tends to avoid skirts, sticking to the pants look with a matching blouse. She also wears a small chain around her left wrist with two charms attached which look like small swords. PERSONALITY: Her general demeanor is friendly, polite, and supportive of others. Usually doesn't stray away from this train of thought under most circumstances. Slow to anger and to take up the sword. She has a code of honor as a Belkan Knight to which she upholds, although not necessary, she is merciful to opponents and does not take advantage of situations that would not put them at least on even terms. Has a sense of loyalty to those she is close to, to the point where she can give her life for them. BACKGROUND: Born on Midchilda, after her parents settled down in a quiet area in the suburbs of the capital. Her father, Yuuno, continued work as the master of the Infinity Library, but Nanoha took time off from the Aggressors squadron of the TSAB Air Force to raise her daughter. Being the daughter of the Ace of Aces, Takamachi Nanoha, Kanata was regarded highly for her possible magical potential from her early childhood. Nanoha tried to shield her from this as much as possible, but her status within the TSAB pretty much guranteed a screening and tryout at the TSAB Academy when she was old enough. Tests on her Linker Core had shown Kanata had potential and pushed to take an entrance exam at the Academy. Resigning to the fact that there would have been some fallout if Kanata didn't try out, Nanoha allowed her to at least take the entrance exam at her own leisure. Having split her time between Midchilda and Earth while growing up, she learned the basics of Mikami-ryu with her Grandfather and Uncle which has influenced her in choosing her device during the academy days. Being a two sword style, Kanata's magic device was also modeled after these and her magic style of Belkan magic from the Wolkenritters. The Academy entrance exams for Kanata went smoothly on the written part and magic ability, but she did recieve a below average score on the combat ability tests, mostly due to those being unfamiliar with the dual sword style. She has spent time from ages 13 - 14 at the academy with basic training as well as advanced Belkan Magic training, although her magic skills have been slow to blossom compared to her weapon skills. Kanata has a year of service under her belt working for the TSAB in the 317th Battalion, with the rank of Sergeant Third Class. At the current time, Kanata is on leave from the TSAB to finish high school on Earth to offer a more social enviornment away from the more military like TSAB with request from Nanoha, wanting Kanata to learn about her Mother's home country of Japan in addition. She currently resides in Tokyo with plans to attend Meiou Academy. Trails frost when swung in this form. Hits freeze the body part struck in addition to normal slash damage. Also works in Katana form Ice Needle (Eis Nadel) - Fires Icicles formed on the blade after Eis Klinge is activated Area Freeze (Bereich Frost) - Uses one cartridge to create an iceberg-like forzen area. One cartridge starts an Ice element effect on the blade. Additionally a cartridge can be spent to change the two kodachi into a katana with a magical/elemental blade.
